Completed in 1886, this is now the most iconic statue in the world. Entrance to Liberty Island is free. However, you need to pay for the ferry $12 adults $5 children. Tickets for the observatory and promenade are required . To see the staute for free but from a distance, take a free ride on Staten Island Ferry.
