The New York Transit Museum is run by MTA who operate the buse and subway service in New York City. The musuem is a short subway ride from Manhatann located in an old subway station across from South Street Seaport in downtown Brooklyn. It is the largest musuem in the U.S. devoted to the history of urban public transport. The musuem takes you on a journey of the development of greater boroughs of New York. It features exhibits of restored subway cars and other exhibitions and workshops.
Open Tues-Fri 10am-4pm. Sat and Sun Noon-5pm Adults $5  Children $3
